Lilac Yosiphon is the artistic director of Althea Theatre.

After graduating from Mountview Academy with an MA in Theatre Directing three years ago, she then went on to complete an MA in Acting at ArtsEd in London. There's No Place Like is her first full length play in English and is touring internationally during 2016. She wrote and performed The Rose of Jericho as a part of The Northern Stage’s Here’s the News from over There at Edinburgh Fringe 2015. She recently wrote and performed in Faux Amis in a gallery called Memoire de l’Avenir in Paris. Her short play Asylum won the Saving Endangered Species International Playwriting Award in Los Angeles and had a rehearsed reading. 

She also directed The Freedom of the City (Cockpit Theatre), Salt (Karamel Club), Pablo (Greenwich Theatre), and One Last Thing (For Now). She was the associate director of The Playboy of The Western World at The Southwark Playhouse and You Tweet My Face Space (The Hen and Chicken) and assistant director on Dry Land (Jermyn Street Theatre).
